Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced engineer to break down complex systems, visualize improvement opportunities, and develop processes that meet aerospace quality standards. You will work with the Engineering Manager to justify, schedule, and manage risks while preparing technical specifications for procurement and work instructions.

The role emphasizes contributing to multiple projects within a functional discipline and applying engineering knowledge to achieve productive outcomes in a high‑stakes

Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post‑high‑school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience OR High School diploma/GED/equivalent with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulic, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline and role including statistical process control and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this role is 60,000 USD – 114,000 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off and holidays. Specific benefits depend on the specific business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
