Job summary

Anchor Mfg is seeking an energetic Program Manager (Launch Engineer) to lead the team in launching new products across automotive, heavy truck, and commercial food equipment sectors. You will evaluate tooling, manufacturing process flow, and layout inputs to influence product costing during the life cycle, collaborating with Engineering and Purchasing and reporting project status to leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, technical proficiency, and strategic planning to ensure launches

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Launch or Program Management in automotive or appliance industries.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple program launches.
• Experience with gate reviews, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, IATF.
• Experience with problem solving methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why.
• Experience with Six Sigma/Lean/Kaizen/5S.
• Experience with mechanical presses, welding, assembly, coil processing equipment and related automation.
• Ability to read prints and understand GD&T and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of a large and important program.
• Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes projects according to requirements.
• Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project.
• Ensures programs attain goals with focus on quality, cost, delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Acts as supplier and customer liaison as first point of contact.
• Reviews designs for compliance with engineering principles and customer specs.
• Coordinates with engineering and manufacturing to schedule and resolve design and test problems.
• Evaluates and approves design changes and drawing releases.
• Controls expenditures within project budget.
• Prepares interim and completion project reports.
