Manufacturing Floor Facilities Technician – Graveyard Shift

Shift: 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary

Rocket EMS is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Floor Facilities Technician to support the condition, maintenance, and readiness of our production floor during the graveyard shift.

This is a hands‑on position focused specifically on maintaining the manufacturing floor and production environment. The technician will perform floor maintenance, cleaning, repair, and preventative work while production activity is reduced, helping ensure the manufacturing area is clean, safe, professional, and ready for operations each morning.

This is not a janitorial position. We are looking for someone with experience maintaining flooring in an industrial or manufacturing environment who understands the equipment, chemicals, processes, and safety requirements associated with maintaining high‑traffic production floors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing floors throughout production, warehouse, aisle, and other designated operational areas.
• Operate industrial floor‑maintenance equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers/burnishers, polishers, and related equipment.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of manufacturing floors during overnight hours.
• Strip, wax, seal, polish, or refinish flooring as appropriate for the floor type and facility requirements.
• Remove scuffs, residue, adhesive, grease, oil, and other manufacturing‑related buildup without damaging floor surfaces.
• Perform minor floor repairs and address damaged or deteriorating areas as appropriate.
• Maintain designated aisles, walkways, production boundaries, and other marked floor areas.
• Support floor marking and application/removal of safety tape, aisle markings, equipment boundaries, and other visual controls.
• Move or coordinate movement of floor‑accessible items when necessary to complete scheduled maintenance.
• Inspect flooring for cracks, trip hazards, damage, spills, or other safety concerns and report or correct issues promptly.
• Use cleaning chemicals and floor‑care products safely and according to manufacturer and facility requirements.
• Maintain floor equipment, including routine cleaning, inspection, charging, and basic preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate work around manufacturing schedules and equipment to minimize disruption to production.
• Follow ESD, safety, PPE, chemical‑handling, and manufacturing‑floor requirements.
• Communicate completed work and any outstanding floor or safety issues to Facilities management.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial or manufacturing floor‑care experience required.
• Experience operating commercial/industrial auto scrubbers, buffers, burnishers, floor polishers, and similar equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial floor‑cleaning chemicals, coatings, finishes, and proper application methods.
• Experience maintaining floors in a manufacturing, electronics, semiconductor, clean manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment strongly preferred.
• Understanding of floor safety, slip prevention, chemical handling, and proper PPE.
• Ability to work independently and manage an overnight floor‑maintenance schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize floor damage and safety hazards.
• Reliable attendance and ability to consistently work 8:00 PM–4:30 AM.

Preferred Experience

Experience with ESD‑sensitive manufacturing environments and ESD flooring would be a big plus for Rocket. Experience maintaining epoxy, sealed concrete, resinous, or other industrial flooring is also highly desirable.

Pay Range

$25 - $30 USD

ITAR/EAR Compliance: Due to the nature of the work performed at Rocket EMS, this position may require access to export‑controlled technical data or technology. The successful candidate must be eligible to access such information under applicable U.S. export‑control laws or be eligible for any required government authorization.
