Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst at our Indiana Harbor location in East Chicago, IN.

The role focuses on accumulating, analyzing, and reporting cost information for an assigned operating area to support decision-making and efficient use of resources. The analyst will perform month-end close for production costing, participate in forecasts, understand manufacturing processes, and provide timely information to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skills.
• Excellent communicator with ability to form and maintain relations with internal and external contacts.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel to retrieve, filter, and analyze data from multiple servers, tables, and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close functions related to production costing, including journal entries and reporting results.
• Participate in quarterly and annual financial forecasting for manufacturing costs.
• Develop understanding of manufacturing processes to analyze key drivers like price, inventory, and usage.
• Provide timely and accurate information to management to support decision-making.
• Engage with internal and external auditors to explain processes or provide documentation.
• Leverage tools to drive process improvements for the function or department.
• Other duties as assigned.
