Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Site Controller in Westford, MA, to lead the plant’s financial activities. You will drive budgeting, cost controls, and reporting for manufacturing, QA, engineering and supply chain, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX.

You will interact with global finance teams and plant leadership to align financial plans with corporate policy. This role requires strong leadership, cost accounting expertise, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including manufacturing finance.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and plant‑level financial analysis.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP) and advanced financial analysis tools.
  • Ability to partner with operations and influence senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial leadership in a plant; influence budget decisions and financial planning.
  • Serve as financial point of contact with local government, auditors, counsel, suppliers, and regulators.
  • Interact with Global/Regional Manufacturing Controllers and Divisional VP of Manufacturing on strategic discussions.
  • With the Site Director, set the financial direction and forecast accuracy.
  • Coordinate reporting, analysis and monitoring of plant financial results.
