Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 to support Production alongside Technical Operations and report to the Equipment Services Manager. You will respond to equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help manage spare parts across multiple sites.

The role requires an AA or equivalent technical background, 2+ years in parts management, and strong Excel/Office skills. Minimal travel, and a discretionary annual bonus are included.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent technical training and on‑the‑job experience.
• 2+ years’ experience with parts management (procurement, shipping/receiving, inventory).
• Experience as technician assisting with repair/maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to collect and analyze basic experimental data and communicate results.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of PM or inventory databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing floor and respond to equipment issues.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance requirements and troubleshoot.
• Work from schematics/diagrams and descriptions for validation.
• Assist in remedying equipment malfunctions and PM needs.
• Manage lab and critical spare parts inventory at multiple sites.
• Assist with shipping/receiving of parts and production printer management.
• Implement and maintain a PM process for printers on the floor.
• Maintain database accuracy and analyze data/records for improvements.
