Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support maintenance, optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment. You will partner with the engineering team to optimize lines, troubleshoot processes and ensure safety on the floor.

Required is a technical/associate degree with 5+ years of manufacturing or process technician experience. Preference given to hands‑on installers, blueprint readers and Lean practitioners, with

  • Supports maintenance, adjustment and fine‑tuning of equipment and tooling with safety focus.
  • Provides technical support to operations to hold process standards and cycle times.
  • Performs tests, measurements, capability studies and process documentation.
  • Supports process‑improvement and floor problem‑solving projects.
  • Maintains process sheets, work instructions and visual aids with documentation standards.
  • Supports production line optimization and equipment commissioning, startup, and validation.
  • Collects data, conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions.

About this role

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the maintenance, optimization and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment at a Carrier manufacturing facility. This hands‑on role partners with the engineering team to support tooling, improve lines and troubleshoot processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the maintenance, adjustment and fine‑tuning of equipment, fixtures and tooling while prioritizing safety.
  • Provides technical support to operations to hold process standards and cycle times.
  • Performs tests, measurements, capability studies and process documentation.
  • Supports process‑improvement and problem‑solving projects on the floor.
  • Maintains process sheets, work instructions, and visual aids, ensuring strict documentation standards for equipment settings and process changes.
  • Supports the optimization of production lines.
  • Supports equipment commissioning, startup, and process validation activities.
  • Responsible for data collection, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Required Qualifications
  • Technical/associate degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manufacturing or process technician.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree or trade school experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electromechanical or a related field.
  • Hands‑on skills installing, setting up and fine‑tuning equipment, fixtures and tooling.
  • Ability to read blueprints, process sheets and work instructions.
  • Working knowledge of measurement/inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Basic knowledge of Lean tools (5S, standard work) and floor problem‑solving.
  • Experience supporting production line optimization and continuous improvement.

Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
