Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician- Level III to support 100% on-site operations in Rocky Mount, NC. You will review inspection data, coordinate machine adjustments, and perform CNC edits while collaborating with engineers to test tools and implement improvements.

The role requires strong focus on safety, quality, and mentorship of junior technicians. Applicants should have 2-year degrees or equivalent field experience and be prepared for on-site work across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; required/licensing for export controls may apply.
• Significant relevant experience or specialized skills in manufacturing engineering tech.
• Ability to read part and machine prints; basic CNC program edits.

Responsibilities

• Review CMM and manual inspection data to identify issues and drive improvements.
• Coordinate machine adjustments and perform basic CNC program edits.
• Collaborate with Engineers and Tooling teams on tool tests and new machines.
• Support troubleshooting for production and update process documentation.
• Mentor Level 1 & 2 technicians; operate more independently after training.
