Carfair Composites, a part of NFI Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the engineering team in developing and refining production processes. You will collaborate with production staff, engineers, and suppliers to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient output.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, lean practices, and documentation for new products, with a focus on FRP materials and composites. Training and safety are central to daily duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related technical field.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably with composite materials/FRP.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, installing, and optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical support to minimize downtime.
• Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Contribute to development of manufacturing procedures and documentation for new product introductions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on tooling, fixtures, and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on new processes and standards.

Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Carfair, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing engineering team to develop, optimize, and maintain effective production processes. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
