Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to lead the engineering team focused on boosting production readiness, process reliability, quality and throughput in our Buffalo-area facility.

You will oversee development of methods, routings, standard work, and tooling, transitioning new products into repeatable production with strong documentation and training. Collaborate with design to review manufacturability and support equipment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
• Manufacturing engineering experience supporting precision manufacturing or engineered assembly operations.
• Experience supervising technical personnel or leading engineering projects and cross-functional improvement teams.
• Knowledge of process development, tooling, work instructions, engineering drawings, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to balance immediate production support with longer-term improvement projects and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Coach engineers and technicians, maintain process documentation, and reinforce safe work practices and quality requirements.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies.

Position Summary

Supervise manufacturing engineering activities that improve production readiness, process reliability, quality, and throughput. This position combines team leadership with direct involvement in process development, tooling, work instructions, and the resolution of day-to-day manufacturing challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize and coordinate the manufacturing engineering team’s workload to support production and new product introduction.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, routings, standard work, assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures.
