Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Gateway Manufacturing Specialist (Starlink) to lead NPI manufacturing builds and ensure early prod readiness. You will program, load and operate automated equipment, troubleshoot non-conformances, and drive design integrity and on-time delivery.

This role requires 2+ years in hands-on manufacturing or a engineering/math/science degree, with experience in hardware testing and CAD tooling.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in hands-on manufacturing or a bachelor's in engineering/math/science.
  • Experience producing J-STD-001 Class 2 or IPC-A-610 Class 2 hardware.
  • Experience with electrical tests and full assembly testing.

Responsibilities

  • Execute new product introduction builds across all work centers.
  • Program, load, and operate automated equipment.
  • Triage non-conforming products and drive resolution and preventative actions.
  • Resolve production issues while ensuring design integrity, product quality and delivery timelines.
  • Perform process development and validation on new models in aggressive timelines.
  • Ensure successful transition of products from development to volume production.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for yield, performance and cost.
  • Define maintenance schedules and support activities.
  • Implement solutions on the line to improve manufacturability, quality and speed.

GATEWAY MANUFACTURING SPECIALIST (STARLINK)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute new product introduction builds across all work centers
  • Program, load, andoperateautomated equipment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 2+ years of professional experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment; OR bachelor's degree in an engineering,mathor science discipline
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in an engineering, math, or science discipline
  • Experience producing J-STD-001 Class 2, IPC-A-610 Class 2 or equivalent hardware
  • Experience with electrical tests, in circuit and/or bed of nails testing, and full assembly testing.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality hardware in a fast-paced NPI environment
  • Ability to adapt and process change quickly
  • Ability toquickly designand iterate on production tooling, using CAD software and tools.
  • Excellent computer skills (email, Microsoft Windows, ERP/MRP/MES systems, iOS, executing custom-developed software)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide process and design improvement suggestionstoengineering
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be available one or more of the following shifts:
  • 8AM – 6:30 PM MondayThoughFriday
  • Standing forlong periodsof time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may berequiredto perform the functions of this position
  • Able tolift upto 25lbs. unassisted
