Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the site’s manufacturing engineering team in a high-mix/low-volume PCBA/EMS environment.

You will drive SMT and through-hole processes, oversee NPI transitions, and push Lean initiatives to improve efficiency and quality on the factory floor. Strong leadership, project management, and deep IPC/MES knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years in a high-mix/low-volume PCBA/EMS environment.
• 3+ years in leadership or management role.
• Deep knowledge of SMT line configurations, soldering metallurgy, IPC guidelines, and MES.
• Experience with regulated quality systems (ISO 9001/AS9100/ISO 13485).

Responsibilities

• Direct and develop Manufacturing and Process Engineers; manage budget and KPIs.
• Define and optimize PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, reflow, selective/wave solder, conformal coating).
• Lead NPI from design to high-yield production; perform DFM reviews.
• Oversee capital equipment selection, installation, IQ/OQ/PQ, and robotics integration.
• Drive Lean & 5S initiatives to reduce scrap, cut cycle times, and eliminate waste.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our site's manufacturing engineering team. This critical role oversees the processes, systems, and advanced robotics that drive high-velocity Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole production lines. You will lead the transition of new products from introduction (NPI) to full-scale manufacturing, optimizing factory floor layout, implementing lean initiatives, and elevating operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Leadership & Mentorship: Direct, motivate, and develop a team of Manufacturing and Process Engineers. Oversee department budget, project prioritization, and key performance metrics (KPIs).
• Process Optimization: Define, analyze, and continuously improve complex PCBA manufacturing processes (including SMT lines, reflow soldering, selective solder, wave soldering, and conformal coating).
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Champion the NPI process to guarantee a smooth transition from client design to high-yield production, ensuring robust Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.
• Capital Equipment & Automation: Spearhead the selection, installation, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new manufacturing equipment, robotics, and smart-factory technology.
• Lean & 5S Culture: Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives leveraging Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Six Sigma tools, and root-cause analysis to reduce scrap, optimize cycle times, and eliminate process waste.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 5–8+ years of engineering experience inside a high-mix/low-volume PCBA manufacturing or EMS environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of modern automated SMT line configurations, advanced soldering metallurgy, IPC guidelines, and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Compliance Standards: Strong familiarity with regulated quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485).
