Job summary

Knorr Brake Company in Westminster, Maryland, on-site, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering leader to manage and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team and execute strategic plans for process and footprint improvements. You will lead cross-functional lean initiatives, support KPS, and ensure regulatory and internal compliance while staffing to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing background with experience leading initiatives.
• MBA or advanced Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for Manufacturing Engineering and provides oversight and development for site Process Engineering teams with Plant Managers.
• Manage the department within the annual operating budget and capital investments.
• Support Lean, continuous improvement strategy, and cross-functional Kaizen activities.
• Oversee improvements to sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters.
• Lead design and redesign projects for BU Freight/Transit facilities, and allocate resources across North America.
• Partner with HSE to ensure safety and ergonomics; identify cost reduction opportunities; track KPIs for management.
