Job summary

FPC National in Central Mississippi is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering at its 200-employee metal fabrication plant. You will guide a small team across machining, welding, painting, assembly and test.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with CNC machining, welding and assembly, have launched products and engineering changes for OEMs using PFMEA, control plans and PPAP, and apply Lean methods to boost safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related engineering field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading engineers or technical teams.
• Must live within 45 minutes of the plant or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across machining, welding, painting, assembly and test.
• Coach and prioritize for manufacturing engineers; hold people accountable.
• Drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements using Lean methods and structured problem solving.
• Implement PFMEA, control plans, and PPAP for OEM customers.

Manufacturing Engineering Manager

SUMMARY

A well-established, family-owned manufacturer is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering at its 200-employee metal fabrication plant in Central Mississippi. You will lead a small team of manufacturing engineers across machining, welding, painting, assembly, and test.
