Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee operations at its Athens facility in Georgia. You will manage a team of engineers and tech leads, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure safety and quality improvements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Six Sigma and JD Edwards software will be advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is a plus.

• Lead and direct 5 manufacturing engineers and 4 tech resource leaders.
• Identify and implement productivity projects in a timely manner.
• Drive safety and quality improvements throughout operations.

About this role

You will provide support to a manufacturing/assembly operation at the Carrier Transicold Athens facility. This role reports to the Operations Manager.

Manages a team of all levels of professionals in Manufacturing Engineering, establishes objectives and guidelines for manufacturing processes, product specifications and other areas of manufacturing engineering. Coordinates the preparation of business plans and proposals. Provides functional management to employees and directs project staff recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct 5 manufacturing engineers and 4 tech resource leaders
• Identify and implement productivity projects in a timely manner
• Drive safety and quality improvements throughout operations
• Actively participate in monthly engineering meeting
• Clearly communicate operations expectation with support teams
• Participate in and coordinate lean transformation events
• Take ownership of all manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications
