Job summary

Vulcan Elements Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers in developing and industrializing manufacturing processes and equipment as production scales.

The role covers technology evaluation, vendor selection, FAT/SAT, startup and ramp to full-scale production, with hands-on leadership on the floor and cross-functional collaboration across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 7+ years in manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience specifying and launching complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong ability to translate production requirements into equipment specs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers; set priorities and drive milestones.
• Lead evaluation and selection of manufacturing technologies to scale production.
• Lead equipment specifications, RFQs, technical evaluations, and vendor assessments.
• Provide technical leadership through equipment lifecycle: requirements, FAT, installation, SAT, qualification.
• Coordinate installation, startup, and ramp with vendors, facilities, and operations.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve throughput, yield, OEE, and process reliability.
