Smalley, a global leader in precision metal formed products, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing and Packaging Engineering functions. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, capacity, and cost improvements while building scalable, customer-focused operations.

You will develop and mentor the engineering team, manage capital projects, and partner across Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Product Engineering, and Sales to implement lean, PFMEA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in progressive manufacturing engineering roles with leadership of engineers or cross-functional teams.
• Experience with metal forming, tooling, automation, or high-mix manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, and engineering change management.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing and packaging engineering teams, setting goals and priorities.
• Drive safety, quality, throughput, and cost improvements across operations.
• Manage capital projects from justification through installation and handoff.
• Develop standard work, process documentation, and engineering changes.
• Provide technical leadership for new product introductions and transfers.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and SPC implementation.
