Bevco Engineering is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support documentation creation, pilot builds, data collection, and continuous improvement activities. This role offers valuable exposure to real‑world engineering workflows while contributing directly to production success.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Review & Interpretation

• Assist in reviewing customer drawings, prints, and engineering documentation.
• Help identify critical-to-quality (CTQ) features and translate requirements into manufacturing tasks.
• Support engineering staff in evaluating manufacturability concerns.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Support the NPI team in verifying bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and preparing documentation for pilot builds.
• Work with assembly technicians during pilot builds to observe and document process steps.
• Assist in creating work instructions, checklists, and process documentation.

Project Coordination & Documentation

• Help maintain project timelines and update status tracking as needed.
• Assist in coordinating materials, tools, and resources for engineering builds and trials.
• Document process findings, improvement opportunities, and test results.

Shop Floor & Customer Support

• Provide floor support during build validations and trials.
• Assist with data collection related to production efficiency, quality, and cycle times.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities under engineer guidance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Exposure to engineering drawings, basic manufacturing concepts, or hands‑on technical coursework preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Interest in manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and continuous improvement.
