PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is offering a temporary Engineering internship. The role supports study, analysis, development and documentation of plant assembly processes, with focus on continuous improvement, line balance, ergonomic and efficiency projects.

The candidate must be currently enrolled in an Engineering program, have completed sophomore year, and possess strong technical, verbal and written communication skills, plus proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program and have completed their Sophomore year of College.
• Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentations skills. Proven problem solving skills are required.
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred.
• Must be flexible to work portions of day and evening shift.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• MS office, specifically excel spreadsheets
• A 3.0 GPA or higher is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Study, and analyze plant assembly processes
• Development and document plant assembly processes
• Flexibility to address special projects as they arise
• Assist in continuous improvement efforts focusing on: Departmental improvement quality projects, Line Balance optimization, Ergonomic Improvement projects, Overall departmental efficiency improvements
