Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to assist in designing tooling and drawings using 3D CAD. You will analyze tolerance stack-up, manufacturability, and compliance with specifications, and help prepare drawings for approval.

You will also review tooling and processes, update procedures, and learn ITAR/EAR compliance while collaborating with a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, graduating in 2026.
• Experience in any industry highly preferred.
• Knowledge of GD&T, bearing design principles, and ITAR regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating mechanical designs for tooling and drawings using 3D CAD software.
• Analyze design for tolerance stack-up, ease of manufacture, and compliance with specs.
• Learn to prepare drawings for approval and publishing to ensure accuracy.
• Aid in updating tooling, processes, and departmental procedures to meet standards.
