Job summary

Philips in Latham, NY is offering a paid co-op opportunity in Manufacturing Engineering for January–August 2027. You will assist in the design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets, and troubleshoot mechanical issues in a hands-on lab setting.

You are pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical or related engineering, with lab experience and familiarity with 3D modeling, safety standards, and basic circuits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS or MS in engineering with hands-on lab experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling and engineering tools; knowledge of safety protocols.
• Able to work in teams and document work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, assembly, and testing of cryogenic systems and superconducting magnets.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to cryogenic and superconducting systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop design solutions and conduct experiments.
• Maintain lab equipment and document test results and procedures.
