Job summary

HM Electronics is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Associate II in Carlsbad, CA. The role focuses on validating fixtures, improving processes, and implementing Lean methods while maintaining KPIs and SPC controls.

You will support equipment incorporation, MES reviews, and provide guidance to junior staff. The position requires 3–4 years of related experience, a High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred), and strong communication and ERP/MES skills.

  • Proficient with MES processes and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of electronics theory.
  • Basic drafting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in validation of fixtures, components, and updated manufacturing processes.
  • Researches new methods that improve processes.
  • Creates or updates Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Assists implementing Lean Methods into manufacturing process and maintain KPIs and SPC controls.
  • Assists in the development of assembly fixtures with feedback from production staff.
  • Coordinates incorporation of equipment, which includes the verification of equipment to engineering specifications and procedures.
  • Supports training and implementation of equipment into manufacturing.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties/projects as assigned by manager.
  • MES Review and release oversight.
  • Label support with troubleshooting new printers and label DB management.
  • Provides guidance and support to Associate Level I and Manufacturing Assistants.

We are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Associate II.

What you will do in the position:
  • Manufacturing Process
    • Assists in validation of fixtures, components, and updated manufacturing processes.

What you will need to succeed:

The posted pay range, $72,000 - $86,000 per year, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
