Job summary

Stryten Energy in Milwaukee is seeking a Mechanical/Automation Engineer responsible for managing manufacturing and facility projects, and for designing mechanization and control systems. You will develop pneumatic and electrical circuitry, and create robotic interfaces to support assembly and material handling.

• Minimum of 3 years of 2D and 3D CAD software experience, preferably in AutoCAD with solid modeling ability.
• Skilled in using software packages such as databases and spreadsheet software to perform analysis, design tasks and project tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing and facility projects. Establish deliverables, RFQ distribution, planning, resource selection, budget constraints, and on-time completion.
• Design mechanization for integrated and standalone assembly equipment.
• Design pneumatic and electrical circuitry to support such mechanization including component specifications.
• Operator Interface and Robotic programs to control assembly, manufacturing and material handling equipment.
• Support maintenance in training and equipment re-engineering activities.
• Analyze performance problems and implement solutions.
• Maintain documentation (files, revisions and edits).
• Communicate issues and suggestions to Engineering Manager regarding automation and facilities.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce setup time, scrap, and enhance processing.

Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing and facility projects. This includes establishing deliverables, distribution of RFQ’s, planning, selection of resources, budget constraints, and on time completion
• Design mechanization for integrated and stand alone assembly equipment.
• Design pneumatic and electrical circuitry to support such mechanization including component specifications.
• Operator Interface and Robotic programs to control assembly, manufacturing and material handling equipment.
• Support maintenance department personnel in the area of training and equipment re-engineering activities.
• Analyze performance problems, find and implement solutions.
• Maintain documentation (files, revisions and edits). To include all drawings and database listings.
• Communicate to Engineering Manager issues and suggestions as they relate to automation and facility projects.

• B.S. in Engineering required
• Minimum of 3 years of 2D and 3D cad software experience, preferably in AutoCAD with solid modeling ability

• Proficient in English (ready, writing & verbal skills).
• Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD to produce two dimensional and isometric drawings.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• PLC experience is a plus

Environment & Physical Demands

This position is primarily performed in an office environment and requires regular onsite attendance. The role also requires periodic presence in manufacturing and production areas. While on the manufacturing floor, employees may be exposed to moving machinery, noise, dust, fumes, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in designated areas.
