MKS Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 4 to collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Marketing and Quality to prototype tooling and support current products. You will report to the Sr.

Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering and contribute to tool development and process improvements in a fast paced environment. The role emphasizes hands-on machining, tolerance checking and continuous improvement, with a focus on supporting both current products and future

Qualifications

• 6+ years of related experience required.
• Requires machine shop experience, understanding of higher mathematics in engineering principles and operations.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Assignment planning, layout, setup, operating and adjusting for major conventional or automatic machines.
• Work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to produce parts to precision dimensions.
• Check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
• Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 4 at MKS, you will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Marketing and Quality to manufacture prototypes and tooling to support current and future MKS products. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 4 at MKS, you will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Marketing and Quality to manufacture prototypes and tooling to support current and future MKS products. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Supervisor of Manufacturing Engineering.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Responsibilities include assignment planning, layout, set-up, operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of major conventional or automatic machines
• Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions
• Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances
• May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions

Skills You Bring:

• 6+ years of related experience required
• Requires machine shop experience, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of higher mathematics involved in the application of engineering principles and the performance of related operations, and completion of a formal apprenticeship program

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

• CNC Programming Experience (MasterCAM or similar)

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay Range: $27 .00 - 42.00 USD Hourly. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus:

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
