Job summary

DEKA Research and Development in Manchester, NH seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process development, build execution, and the transition to scalable manufacturing for complex electromechanical assemblies.

You will collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations, while coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products. The role emphasizes problem solving, lean principles, and design for manufacturability.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent with 2–5 years’ experience, or A.S. degree with 3–6 years’ experience.
• Experience with electromechanical assembly and manufacturing process development.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or green manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including BOMs, line layouts, assembly instructions, fixtures, pFMEAs, and production control methods.
• Plan, lead, and execute pre-production builds with a long-term view for scalable, high-volume production.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure products are robust and manufacturable.
• Consult with suppliers to define product specs and partner with supply chain to procure equipment, materials, and parts.
• Interface with manufacturing partners during the design transfer to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products.
