Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Saint Augustine, FL, onsite, to translate aircraft design requirements into actionable manufacturing instructions.

The role requires collaboration across design, production, tool design, industrial engineering and quality to establish processes and tooling needs. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering with several years in manufacturing environments and experience with NX or CATIA CAD tools, along with BOM

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with 4 years in manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to work on-site and read complex drawings/diagrams.
• Experience with NX/CATIA and CAD tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret aircraft design requirements for manufacturability and translate them into clear, executable manufacturing work instructions.
• Partner with Design Engineering, Production, Tool Design, Industrial Engineering and Quality to define build processes and tooling requirements.
• Develop, release, and maintain Manufacturing Engineering documentation including work instructions and Bills of Material.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must Have

• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English)
• Able to read drawings / wiring diagrams
• Cable Harness Assembly
• Solder Certified
• Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Experience with utilizing Siemens NX/CATIA CAD tools or applicable 3D CAD systems

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret aircraft design requirements for manufacturability and translate them into clear, executable manufacturing work instructions.

Partner with Design Engineering, Production, Tool Design Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Quality to define build processes, incorporate drawing changes, and establish tooling requirements for current and new production.

Develop, release, and maintain Manufacturing Engineering documentation, including work instructions, visual aids, and Bills of Material.

Basic Qualifications for Engineer Manufacturing 3

• Bachelors Degree and 4 years of work experience in an engineering manufacturing environment role; OR Masters in STEM field with 3 years of experience OR PhD with 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications for Engineer Manufacturing 3

• Background in aircraft wire harness fabrication, cable installation, avionics, power distribution systems, and/or testing and troubleshooting of electrical system
• Strong electrical experience and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Engineering degree in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Experience using NX or similar CAD software
• Experience using SAP and MES or similar
• Demonstrated understanding of root cause / corrective action processes and techniques
• Experience using RCCA tools such as Five Why, Pareto, fishbone, etc.
• Experience drafting, maintaining, and modifying work instructions and/or process specifications
