Job summary

Exotic Automation & Supply Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own how we build custom molded rubber, urethane, and plastic parts.

You’ll develop and improve molding and machining processes, tooling, and workflow in an AS9100 and ISO 9001:2015 certified, ITAR compliant operation. You will work on compression and injection molding, urethane molding, machining, and related processes, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive quality, efficiency, and cost improvements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or related field.
6+ years in manufacturing or process engineering for molded rubber/plastics.
Hands-on molding experience: compression, injection, urethane.
Lean, SPC, DOE experience.
Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or NX).
Strong PM and cross-functional leadership.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Hands-on shop-floor mindset; tooling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop molding and machining processes.
Review designs for moldability and manufacturing feasibility.
Drive lean and continuous improvement across operations.
Validate process capability and set standards using SPC/DOE.
Write setup sheets and work instructions for production.
Analyze production data, costs, and capacity; suggest changes.
Collaborate with mold makers and suppliers on reviews.
Mentor teammates and support sales/customer visits while maintaining safety compliance.
