Job summary

Multimatic is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist with BOM preparation and maintenance, ECN scheduling coordination, and drafting and drawing duties. You will help develop layouts and process plans, maintain engineering files, and provide metrics to drive cost savings and process improvements.

The role requires interaction across all levels of staff, familiarity with tool-room/press shop equipment, and proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Qualifications

• College enrolment in mechanical engineering.
• Supervisory and management skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees and work with manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manufacturing Engineers to prepare and maintain BOMs with 98% accuracy.
• Coordinate ECN timing with Scheduling, Tooling and QC.
• Develop and maintain plant layouts, manufacturing flow charts, process plans, and production standards.
• Maintain all current, pending and obsolete engineering files.
• Provide performance indicators to monitor continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 environmental guidelines and OHSA safety requirements.
• Prepare operator instructions and coordinate engineering changes.
• Provide information and reports to assist management decisions.
• Capture and upload photos to the company network.
