Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support daily production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet specifications. You will collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to optimize processes and raise manufacturing capability.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing, and hands-on experience with Lean, Six Sigma, MES/ERP,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing, automotive, EV, aerospace, or industrial production environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience with MES, ERP, quality systems, and manufacturing data analysis.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary engineering resource for manufacturing issues impacting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, standard work, process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Develop, implement, and validate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support containment and recovery activities related to quality, supplier, and production issues.
  • Escalate critical production risks and drive timely resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, labor efficiency, cycle time, OEE, first-pass yield, and cost reduction.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and KPIs to identify opportunities and prioritize improvement activities.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Support implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs), product revisions, and process changes.
  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions.
  • Support MES, traceability, process controls, and manufacturing system improvements.
  • Validate new equipment, tooling, suppliers, processes, and product changes.
  • Lead capacity, line balancing, workflow, and ergonomic improvement projects.
  • Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies including 5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, and Pareto analysis.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting daily production operations while driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role serves as the primary engineering resource for resolving manufacturing issues, optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing engineering changes, and ensuring products are built to specification. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to improve production performance and manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities
