Job summary

Actalent seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Minneapolis, MN, to mature and stabilize a neurovascular device and support daily production improvements. You will resolve issues, validate changes, and drive cost, yield, and process efficiency improvements in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes equipment validation, SPC monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, supply chain, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within medical device industry.
• Experience with catheter-focused products is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes and process engineering in a regulated environment.
• Proven ability to improve, troubleshoot, and validate production equipment and processes.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support for products, processes, materials, and equipment to help the manufacturing team achieve production goals.
• Build quality into all work by complying with quality requirements and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, qualify, and validate new and existing equipment used to manufacture endovascular catheters.
• Prepare testing plans, technical justifications, and documentation for process, equipment, and material changes.
• Collaborate with purchasing to optimize supply chains and contribute to long-term cost strategies.
• Design, implement, and monitor Statistical Process Monitoring systems.
• Monitor yields, investigate issues, and meet scrap reduction and output targets.
• Train operators and technicians on equipment and process requirements.
