Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite 12-month contract in Irvine, CA. You will apply engineering principles to optimize industrial layout and production, and read/interpet blueprints.

Responsibilities include standardizing production rates, improving efficiency, reviewing quality records, planning tasks, and producing layout diagrams and CAD drawings. Bachelor’s in Engineering and 0–2 years of experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Study time, motion, methods and speed to set standard production rates and improve efficiency.

• Help plan work assignments based on performance, capacity, schedules and delays.
• Create charts, graphs and diagrams showing workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling and machine utilization.

Pay Rate: $36.00 - $40.00/hr

Position Summary

Our client, a global medical device manufacturer, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team in Irvine, CA on a 12 month contract. In this role, you will apply engineering theory and principles to solve problems in industrial layout and manufacturing production. You should be comfortable creating engineering drawings and reading and interpreting blueprints.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Study the time, motion, methods and speed involved in maintenance, production and other operations to set standard production rates and improve efficiency
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams and formulas, working with management and engineering staff to define quality and reliability standards
• Review worker logs, product processing sheets and specification sheets to confirm records meet quality assurance specifications
• Help plan work assignments based on worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules and anticipated delays
• Create charts, graphs and diagrams to show workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling and machine utilization

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
• 0-2 years of experience required

Knowledge/Skills

• Creative, with strong verbal and written communication skills and solid analytical and problem-solving ability
• Detail-oriented team player
• Able to produce sketches, engineering drawings and common computations
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports
• Prior experience with engineering software and applications, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
