Job summary

Critical Loop, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive mechanical systems manufacturing excellence across product lines. You will leverage automation to minimize time-to-market and collaborate with diverse teams to ensure high-quality, scalable production.

The role emphasizes manufacturability, process development, and continuous improvement in a rapidly growing company focused on grid-scale battery storage solutions.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Experience with DFMA and design for manufacture & assembly.
  • Experience writing work instructions and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the build and inspection process for the mechanical assemblies and systems integration across the product lines.
  • Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes and work instructions to meet safety, quality, efficiency and delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve production challenges.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability with product engineering in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resolve product non-conformances and implement root cause corrective actions with the quality team.
  • Plan and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet growing demand.
  • Develop floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analyses for on-time delivery.

The Role

We’re recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer to drive mechanical systems manufacturing excellence across the production of the Critical Loops product lines. This is a chance to help a growing company create the future of grid-scale battery storage while leveraging the latest automation tools that can minimize time-to-market.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the build and inspection process for the mechanical assemblies and systems integration across the Critical Loop product lines

  • Develop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes and subsequent work instructions to meet all design and business requirements, including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery

  • Collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve both internal and customer production challenges

  • Work with product engineering team to evaluate designs for manufacturability and implementation in a rapidly evolving production environment

  • Resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root cause corrective actions

  • Identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet our growing production demand

  • Develop and refine floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time product delivery to our customers

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials or industrial engineering

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with the build, assembly, or integration of mixed electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Knowledge of mechanical / hardware systems manufacturing techniques, processes, and equipment including welding, fastening, drilling, bonding and inspection verifications.

  • Mechanical component and/or tooling design and analysis experience using 3D CAD software

  • Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)

  • Experience transition complex products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience writing work instructions and procedures
