Job summary

Legrand is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electrical Infrastructure Division in West Hartford, CT. You will develop and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to run production lines efficiently.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and at least 1 year of related experience, with CAD (2D/3D) and ERP proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year in manufacturing engineering or related role.
• CAD (2D/3D) experience preferred; automation and NPI experience valued.
• Experience with automation, advanced manufacturing technologies, and NPI processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing methods and processes.
• Improve efficiency by planning workflow, space, and equipment layout.
• Design testing methods and ensure product/process quality and capabilities.
• Evaluate processes and confer with operators and vendors.
• Review designs for manufacturability and support new product introductions.
• Develop tooling and fixtures for manufacturing and assembly operations.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Prepare process reports and maintain documentation (process flows, ECOs, work instructions).
• Provide technical training to maintenance, operations, and assembly personnel.
• Support continuous improvement via lean manufacturing to boost safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
