Job summary

E.C. Styberg Engineering & Manufacturing, Racine WI, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to act as the technical resource across stamping, machining, and secondary processes.

You will troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and process issues while leading continuous improvement projects to boost productivity and quality and reduce downtime. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, a strong Lean background, hands-on problem solving, and excellent project management and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
• Metal stamping & fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting machining and secondary manufacturing operations.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical resource for manufacturing operations across stamping, machining, and secondary processes.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, tooling, equipment, and process-related issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality, and equipment uptime.
• Reduce scrap, downtime, setup times, and overall manufacturing costs.
• Support APQP/NPI, PPAP, new product launches, CAPEX implementations and process validation activities.
• Identify and lead automation and capital equipment improvement opportunities.
