Red Cat Holdings in Salt Lake City is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support our manufacturing and test engineering team. This role blends software, electronics, and mechanical fundamentals to ensure products are built right, every time.

You will work with experienced engineers on test systems, learn to read datasheets, and contribute to cross‑functional projects using Python, Linux, and Git. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced learning environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience with Python and/or Linux.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new tools quickly.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a genuine interest in how hardware and software come together in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and debugging test systems used to test and calibrate hardware assemblies, under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support scripting and automation tasks using Python and Bash.
• Help with source control workflows using Git.
• Learn how to read and interpret datasheets for electronic components.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions.
• Gain exposure to build systems and cross‑compiling concepts.
• Support ad hoc projects as priorities shift, learning to adapt across tasks.
