Job summary

The Toro Company is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Perry, OK, where you will design fixtures and tooling for machine tools and assist with facility layout documentation. You will collaborate with production teams and gain hands-on experience under the guidance of manufacturing engineers.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an ABET-accredited Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering degree with junior-level coursework completed, and strong teamwork and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

You will be responsible for the following tasks:* Design fixtures, tooling, lifting devices etc. for machine tools, welders, robots, and assembly functions.* Assist with the documentation of the current facility layout.* Create layout proposals for new and/or existing areas to create or improve the safety and efficiency of the production process.* Work closely with other areas in production and support as needed to assist in completion of projects.The work will be guided by other manufacturing engineers to provide mentoring and keep the project on task.## **What Do You Need?**To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:* Majoring in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited university.* Completed junior-level courses preferred.* Strong desire to learn, collaborate, and effectively communicate in a team setting while achieving a common goal.* Ability to stay organized and able to use Microsoft Office programs without much direction.* Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills.* Bonus skills include 3D modeling using Solid Works or Solid Edge, AutoCAD, Ansys.## **What Can We Give You?**At The Toro Company, we are always working to make sure our interns know just how valued they are.
