Turbine Air Systems, Ltd. in Houston, TX seeks a Manufacturing Engineer III to optimize production by designing and implementing process improvements.
The role emphasizes Lean methods, cost reduction, and cross-functional collaboration with design, estimating, and operations to ensure manufacturability and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have a strong background in make-to-order environments, ERP systems, and hands-on experience with fixtures, jigs, and production tooling.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Manufacturing Engineer III will be part of the manufacturing engineering department to support production operations by designing, building, manufacturing, and implementing improvement to the process to support production operations. The position requires a results-oriented individual with a history of driving change in their work environment, strong analytical skills, and previous experience in an engineer to order / make to order project environment. Primary objectives are to drive all the initiatives that our customers demand, including driving continuous improvement, documenting processes and procedures critical to sustainable manufacturing performance.

Must be versed in the use of basic Microsoft office tools Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
BS / MS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial engineering. LEAN / Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus. Proficiency in SolidWorks & AutoCAD Good understanding and experience in implementing LEAN initiatives, leading Kaizen events, driving improvements achieving significant savings and profits. Relevant experience in a make to order/engineer to order project environment.
