Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship or co-op acceptable).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Analyze production data to identify improvements and reduce waste.
• Support design, procurement, and qualification of tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve manufacturability.
• Participate in evaluating new manufacturing technologies and materials.
• Develop and update work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
• Contribute to root-cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.

Shift : Thursday– Saturday and every other Wednesday, 6pm–6am

The Manufacturing Engineer I plays a vital role in supporting and improving manufacturing processes at Jabil Inc. This entry-level position focuses on optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and contributing to the overall success of manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support the design, procurement, and qualification of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design, to resolve manufacturing issues and improve product manufacturability.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new manufacturing technologies and materials.
• Develop and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flowcharts, and control plans.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for production defects and non-conformances.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (internship or co-op experience considered).
• Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts is a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
