PCB Piezotronics, Inc. in Depew, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to help launch new product designs into manufacturing and drive process improvements.

You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure manufacturing readiness for new products. You will work with engineering, supply chain and quality teams to support product launches, develop work instructions, and maintain manufacturing process documentation while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

  • Internship, Co-Op or equivalent industry project experience.
  • Manufacturing processes knowledge.
  • Materials processing and metallurgy knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets mechanical drawings, schematics and technical specifications to develop manufacturing work instructions, processes, routers, procedures and test protocols.
  • Conducts prototype manufacturing builds to test and evaluate product and process designs and revisions.
  • Works with engineering teams, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales and Quality for new product launches and ongoing manufacturing support.
  • Develops and designs basic tools and fixtures, researches and specifies manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Creates and maintains accurate mechanical drawings, schematics, technical specifications and manufacturing process documentation.
  • Provides documentation on assembly methods and test procedures.
  • Conducts failure analyses to resolve manufacturability or quality issues.
  • Provides technical assistance in matters of products, materials, equipment and processes.
  • Travel up to 10% to visit customers, vendors, suppliers, other company locations, affiliates, attend technical meetings, trade shows or conferences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering Ideally mechanical, electrical, or electrical technology

Experience:
