Job summary

Zimmer Biomet, a leading medical technology company in the United States, is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer I in Massachusetts. You will support manufacturing engineering to ensure efficient processes and assist with cell management, process development, and project management.

With guidance from senior engineers, you will estimate costs, validate tools, and improve methods to meet performance and quality targets, while collaborating across departments and ensuring timely project

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering required.
• GD&T knowledge is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving controlled technical documents.
• Support processes across machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treating, bonding, molding.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate product cost and equipment needs.
• Improve processes to meet performance and quality.
• Execute project plans and schedules for activities.
• Communicate with other departments.

What You Can Expect

The manufacturing engineer I is an entry-level position, responsible for supporting manufacturing engineering to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. Engineering services may include cell management, process development, project management, process validation, tool design, and trouble shooting.

How You'll Create Impact

• Assist in maintaining and improving controlled technical documents such as prints, procedures, bill of materials and routers.
• Support a wide variety of processing applications such as machining, finishing, forging, casting, cleaning, heat treating, bonding, molding, etc.
• With guidance from more experienced engineers, conduct feasbility studies to estimate product cost and analyze capital equipment, capacity, and capability requirements.
• Improve process methods which meet performance and quality requirements.
• Execute to project plans and schedules for work activities.
• Communicate (written and verbal) with appropriate personnel from other departments.
• Improve process methods which mee tperformance and quality requirements.
