Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO is seeking an AM-HUB Manufacturing Engineer to implement and maintain manufacturing processes that improve line efficiency, material flow, and lean performance.

The role collaborates with Line Associates, Operations, and Supply Chain to support new product launches and ongoing line projects, aiming to reduce lead times and enhance throughput on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
  • Manufacturing process improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of lean principles and kanban.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar program.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting production line issues and supporting audits.
  • Conducting time studies and managing rework projects.
  • Supporting new product introductions, Kanban, and line-side replenishment.
  • Optimizing work center layouts and material flow.
  • Performing root cause analysis and maintaining quality notifications.

Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

The AM-HUB Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining manufacturing processes that support line efficiency, material flow, and lean principles. This role helps maintain high-quality standards and cost efficiency while working closely with Line Associates, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support new product launches and ongoing line projects. The Manufacturing Engineer plays a key role in improving throughput, reducing lead time, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor. Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting production line issues and support production audits
  • Conducting time studies and managing rework projects
  • Supporting new product introductions, Kanban, and line-side replenishment
  • Optimizing work center layouts and material flow
  • Performing root cause analysis and maintaining quality notifications
  • Assisting with work instructions, SOPs, and LMES configuration
  • Supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives and KPI improvement efforts
What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred; or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • Manufacturing process improvement
  • Knowledge of lean principles and kanban
  • Experience in AutoCAD or similar program
