Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer in Miamisburg, OH to support a low‑volume, high‑mix production environment. The role focuses on work instruction development, process validation, and continuous improvement with involvement in machining, assembly, soldering, encapsulation, and related processes.

You will lead process development, mentor machinists, review designs for manufacturability, and drive cost reductions across cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD platforms.
• Experience with G-Code and CNC programming is desired.
• Strong understanding of blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with gauging and measurement techniques is a plus.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of PLCs, ladder logic, and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and update work instructions defining critical-to-quality characteristics.
• Train production personnel on new processes and revisions.
• Lead continuous improvement and process development initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and planning to meet schedules and costs.
• Support assembly processes including soldering, encapsulation, and welding.
• Investigate fabrication, test, and assembly issues and drive corrective actions.
• Review designs for manufacturability and propose improvements.
• Support early-stage design concepts and prototype builds.
• Perform make/buy and value-engineering studies to reduce costs.
