Lumicity is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to advance metal fabrication processes for regulated electro-mechanical products. You will drive improvements, tooling, and transfers in a low-volume, high-mix environment.

You will develop and optimize processes such as laser cutting, welding, machining, and finishing, and lead validations across IQ/OQ/PQ while ensuring quality and compliance. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement in Milwaukee, WI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years fabrication manufacturing experience.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, drawings, and quality controls.

  • Partner with customers and cross-functional teams on manufacturability and process development.
  • Train production personnel and support CAPA and quality system activities.

Job Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, optimization, and scale-up of metal fabrication processes used in regulated electro-mechanical product manufacturing. This role will drive process improvements, tooling development, product transfers, validations, and troubleshooting in a low-volume, high-mix environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize metal fabrication processes including laser cutting, welding, press brake, machining, and finishing operations.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, drawings, and quality controls.
  • Support product launches, design transfers, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo/ProE, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
