Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to establish manufacturing processes for new products and to lead Design for Manufacturing reviews. You will coordinate production schedules as products move through the shop and support continuous improvement across operations.

This role drives Kaizen/5S events, improves efficiency and quality, and supports key business initiatives. Lean, CAD, and machining skills are essential; a BS degree is required.

Qualifications

• Problem solving, communication, teamwork and lean manufacturing mindset.
• CAD experience and machine shop skills are desirable.
• Knowledge of grinding theory and bearing technology a plus.

Job description

This role will report directly to New Product Development and will be responsible for establishing manufacturing processes for new products, leading Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews, and coordinating production schedules as new products move through the shop. As workload permits, the position will also support continuous improvement efforts across existing operations, including leading Kaizen and 5S events and driving improvements in manufacturing efficiency, quality, and overall process performance. The team will also be responsible for supporting key business initiatives.

Candidates must have the ability to problem solve, communicate effectively, work well on teams, understand lean manufacturing, CAD, machine shop skills. knowledge of grinding theory and bearing technology a plus.
