Overview
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built, and sold. The EW Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware for Electromagnetic Warfare, including design for manufacturability, tooling, process creation and optimization, vendor interaction, quality planning, and work documentation for the hardware the Manufacturing Engineer owns.
As a Manufacturing Engineer within EW, you will drive process improvements, ensure production quality, and support the development and implementation of new products. You will optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies on existing technologies while developing new products and scaling to full-scale production.
Responsibilities
- Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain that includes Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electro-mechanical assemblies
- Contribute to operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset and lead Kaizen events
- Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive RCCA burndowns addressing key issues internal and external to EW Production
- Collaborate with Design Engineering teams to provide DFx for smooth NPI transitions
- Develop process flows by breaking down large assemblies into logical subassemblies and sub-processes
- Write documentation required for manufacturing hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc.
- Work with contract manufacturers across disciplines to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production
- Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware
- Contribute to mechanical or electrical design of end-customer hardware, including interconnects, board fabrication and inspection
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a technical field preferred such as engineering, math, or a hard science
- 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware
- Demonstrated ability to deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment
- Experience manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc. (personal projects a plus)
- Experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), Oracle (ERP) or equivalents
- Genuine interest in manufacturing and willingness to learn
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access to export-controlled information or facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF products requiring system AI&T (assembly, integration, test)
- Interest in scaling product testing and production
- Hands-on software/firmware flashing or end-of-line testing & troubleshooting
- Software scripting experience in any language
- Current active U.S. Secret security clearance
Salary and Benefits
US Salary Range: $129,000—$171,000 USD
The salary range is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, including base salary. Equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are part of Anduril's total compensation package. Anduril offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees.
