Job summary

Applied Engineering, Inc. in Cypress, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Electromechanical Assembly to lead and support the transfer of electromechanical product lines into the Houston site, install and validate equipment, and drive lean improvements.

The role requires a BS in a relevant engineering field, 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, bilingual English/Spanish, and willingness to travel to partner facilities; Epicor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
  • Experience supporting equipment installation, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong lean manufacturing background (Kaizen, standard work, waste reduction).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to partner facilities and current production sites for knowledge transfer.
  • Epicor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of electromechanical product lines into the Houston site.
  • Assist with equipment installation, setup, and readiness for production.
  • Lead or support product validation activities to ensure successful launch.
  • Prepare and update manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting for wiring and electromechanical systems.
  • Deliver training to production teams on new processes, equipment, and product requirements.
  • Participate in knowledge-transfer visits to current production sites and support launch activities.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve flow, reduce waste, and stabilize processes.
  • Maintain active involvement from pre-launch through post-launch stabilization to support a seamless production ramp-up.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners.

ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

Engineer I: $72,000 - $84,000

Engineer II: $80,000 - $92,000

Engineer III: $90,000 - $102,000

Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000

Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. These roles are paid hourly and include paid overtime when applicable.
