Job summary

Timken is seeking a Product Manufacturing Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing operations, optimize production processes, and evaluate designs for manufacturability. The role serves as a technical liaison between the plant, customers, and industry partners, leading process development and equipment upgrade projects.

The position demands a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, strong problem-solving, and hands-on manufacturing experience, with SAP proficiency and CAD familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of relevant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with solid modeling and CAD software.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing of new and existing products.
  • Analyze product designs to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and increase production capacity.
  • Lead and support projects involving process development, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, bills of materials, and work instructions within SAP.
  • Apply engineering principles to design and validate new product applications and modifications.
  • Conduct and document engineering analyses and testing to ensure product performance and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality systems, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and meet customer requirements.
  • Represent Timken in customer meetings, providing technical presentations and product expertise.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to support product applications and provide technical guidance.
