Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Programmer to improve safety, quality, cost and efficiency across complex manufacturing operations. Qualifications

  • Manufacturing Engineering knowledge and ability to support design, installation, maintenance or improvement of production processes.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking to define problems, assess risks and recommend solutions.
  • Lean manufacturing principles, waste reduction, and production-performance focus.

  • Education or equivalent experience is desired.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including operation specs, work instructions, setup drawings and cycle-time analyses.
  • Lead root cause analysis, troubleshooting and continuous improvement addressing safety, quality, throughput, cost and bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate and support manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation and advanced technologies.
