Dauch Corporation in North Vernon, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will implement manufacturing techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize throughput and ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 3 years in high-volume manufacturing, and proficiency with 3D modeling, GD&T, PFMEA, and control plans. You will contribute to automation, equipment selection, and continuous improvement on the assembly line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with UG or any 3D modeling and drafting software.
• Proficient with GD&T, Process Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans.
• Understanding of TS16949 and associated documentation.
• Strong knowledge of CNC production machine operation, forging manufacturing, powdered metal processes, safety and quality requirement.
• General understanding of various metal forming processes and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develops manufacturing equipment purchase proposals by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements.
• Recommends new manufacturing equipment by identifying vendors and operating equipment, evaluating equipment capabilities and service history; evaluating vendor service and support. Completes equipment cost projections by analyzing investment, return, and savings.
• Monitors equipment installations by advising crews. Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications as needed.
• Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources. Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Maintains equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database. Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches.
• All other duties as assigned.
