Job summary

ZF Axle Drives LLC in Marysville, Michigan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the assembly area and drive improvements across the production line. You will work with maintenance and engineering teams to optimize line performance, ensure high quality parts, and implement preventative actions for cost-effective manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong problem-solving skills, and familiarity with CAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and genuine curiosity for how things work.
• Experience or exposure to GD&T and quality improvement processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve production line efficiency through hands-on problem solving.
• Plan, test, and support preventative actions for safe, high quality operations.
• Manage non-critical production process changes with engineering teams.
• Investigate quality issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Support 8D investigations and corrective action processes.
• Develop and maintain reject criteria and teardown procedures.
• Track PDCA items and drive timely progress and closure.
• Coordinate product and assembly engineering tasks across the plant.
